Kylotonn are aiming to for a Late 2020 release, much sooner than my predicted release from my recent next-gen racing game prediction piece, and will most likely be a launch title for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. It will supposedly follow a live service model in which TDU3’s multiplayer will be frequently updated with big content updates such as “new exciting game modes” and most likely new cars and other new forms of content. Multiplayer seems to be a big focus for Test Drive Unlimited 3, with the source likening it to that of GTA Online. KT Racing are rebuilding some of their KT engine for TDU3 to feature improved visuals, and will be using the same physics engine as WRC 8 for the car physics. Test Drive Unlimited 3 will have similar gameplay to the previous games in which you’ll have no limits on what you can do and will of course feature Houses you can buy, with more Houses than TDU1 and 2 combined. In terms of starter cars, you’ll have three options to select from the Renault Clio RS, a Mitsubishi Evo and a Volkswagen Polo GTi.
